A3P StaffMr Richard Stanton— Chief Executive OfficerRichard’s background is in forestry, wood products and paper industry policy. Richard has been with A3P since its formation in 2004 and was appointed CEO in 2008. Prior to joining A3P Richard gained substantial industry association experience with the Australian Paper Industry Council, the Plantation Timber Association of Australia and the National Association of Forest Industries. He has also worked in a number of policy development roles with the Commonwealth and NSW Governments. Richard holds a Bachelor of Science (Forestry) Honours degree from the Australian National University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Technology Sydney.
Mr Peter Juniper - Manager Solid WoodPeter has 30 years experience in the timber industry in a variety of technical, research, market development and management roles, including a period of 10 years as CEO of the Plantation Timber Association of Australia and its predecessor, Pine Australia. Peter has been involved with both the hardwood and softwood sectors and in the associated development and delivery of many key industry and industry associated initiatives. He is a Member of the Institution of Engineers, Australia, and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Ms Marion Niederkofler - Manager Climate Change PolicyMarion Niederkofler joined A3P in February 2008 to work on a range of climate change projects. Marion previously worked for the National Farmers’ Federation, supporting policy development and issues management of key challenges facing the agricultural sector, including drought, genetic modification and climate change, as well as assisting in the development of a monthly commodities index. Marion has also worked in a variety of contract roles for the federal government and the private sector.
Mr Gavin Matthew - Manager Plantation ResourcesGavin Matthew joined A3P in February 2009. Gavin has over 12 years of diverse experience in forest management, timber processing industries and forest consultancy. Gavin most recently worked for Forests NSW in their commercial services branch as the Softwood Sales Manager and Softwood Market Analyst. Gavin has also worked in operational forestry roles in infrastructure, merchandising and planning. Previously Gavin worked in a variety of roles such as with the timber processing firm AKD Softwoods and contract roles with forest consultancies URS Forestry and Sylvatech.
Mr Alan Cummine - Manager Plantation InvestmentAfter working in various Commonwealth Government agencies, the non-government sector, and as a Ministerial policy adviser, Alan spent eight years with Australian Forest Growers before becoming the head of Treefarm Investment Managers Association (TIMA), the national organisation specialising in the tax and regulatory policy and legislation that govern the operation of the managed investment plantations sector. With the merger of TIMA with A3P in April 2009, Alan brought this special tax and regulatory expertise to his new role in A3P, where he is also responsible for a number of related fields such as the Plantations 2020 Vision and socio-economic aspects of plantation investment.
Ms Kim Gregory —Office ManagerKim Gregory joined A3P in December 2008. Kim has previously worked for three top law firms in the ACT. She has extensive accounts and office management skills.
Ms Natalie Loudon - Communications OfficerNatalie Loudon joined A3P in September 2008 to work as the communications officer. Natalie previously worked as a communications and project officer for an agency in the Federal Government. She graduated with a degree in Communications (Journalism) from the University of Canberra in 2007.
Mr Tony Duncan - General Manager Paper RoundWith over 25 years experience in the print and paper industry in Australia and New Zealand, Tony has had a variety of roles in both marketing and R&D management. Appointed CEO of Paper Round in 2006 to oversee the industry's EPR response to the NSW government raising of office papers to a priority waste, Tony has worked with both industry and governments to improve recovery and re-use. Paper Round was integrated into A3P in January 2009. |
